Kakiat County Loop

We meet at 9:00 AM at Kakiat Park off Rt 202 in Montebello, NY (GPS 41.14579, -74.112855). We start at 9:15 AM sharp going north on the Mountain (O) and the Kakiat (W) trails, then we make a right on the Suffern-Bear Mountain (Y) Trail to the Egg and Stone Memorial Shelter, coming back on Y we turn right on Conklin’s Crossing (W) to Pine Meadows Lake as our lunch destination (3.5 mi.). Bear Mountain from Anthony Wayne

9:30 AM from north parking lot at Anthony Wayne. We will hike the Fawn to the AT and up the recently reopened Trail on the southwest side of Bear Mountain. Lunch at Perkins Tower. Schunnemunk

Meet 9:00 AM at Otterkill Rd Parking (GPS 41.425755, -74.101685). We start at 9:15 AM sharp, hiking Trestle Trail (W) to Western Ridge Trail (O) to Barton Swamp Trail (R) to Ridge-to-Ridge Trail (B/W), then head back east on Jessup Trail (Y) with a stop at the Megaliths (W). We then continue east on Jessup Trail (Y) past Taylor Hollow, then take the Otterkill Trail (R) back to the parking lot. As a bonus option (an additional 1.8 miles), we can head to the Taylor Rd parking and hike the Blue Meadow Loop Trail. The Trail loops around fields covered with grasses, wild flowers and milkweed. Lake Sebago to Ladentown Mountain

We meet at 9:00 AM at the Sebago Boat Launch parking lot on Seven Lakes Drive. We start at 9:15 AM sharp going east across the road on the Seven Hills Trail to the Buck Trail going north. We make a right on the Meadow Road to catch the T-MI Trail and the Breakneck Mountain Trail. We make a right on the S-BM, passing by the Third Reservoir, all the way to the T-MI Trail where we make a right and back to the Buck and the Seven Hills and the Sebago Boat Launch. Summit Storm King Mountain

Meet 9:30 AM at the parking lot off Mountain Road about 2 miles off Rt 9W in Cornwall-on-Hudson, NY. Start on the Stillman Trail to the Bluebird Trail using a series of switchbacks. We will start at 9:15 AM sharp going east and south on the R-R all the way to the Crossover. Take the Crossover going east around Gatum Pond and Weyble Pond using the Five Ponds Loop Trail north, then east to the west side of Glasmere Pond, then take the blue blaze Skylands north back to the R-R all the way to the parking area. We start at 9:15 AM sharp around the north side of Rockland Lake via Rockland Lake Road to Landing Road to catch the Long Path going north. We hike the Long Path to Treason Trail (W) to go down the Bike Path along the Hudson River. We then take the Trail going back up to Landing Road and the parking lot. This hike is moderate.
