We will hike a variety of trails from the White Bar then to Lake Sebago using the T-MI to crossing the Seven Lakes Drive, to Diamond Mountain on the Seven Hills, then the HTS going back on the T-MI, and the White Bar Trails to the parking lot. 9:00 AM at trailhead where AT crosses Rt 301, 1.4 miles west of Taconic State Parkway or 4.5 mi. east of Rt 9 (GPS 41.4526580, – 73.8378470). We will hike the AT up to Shenandoah Mt. with beautiful views of Canopus Lake, and return the same way with a detour to the shores of Canopus. Registration by email required. 9:15 AM at the parking lot called “Skatepark” behind the Tuxedo Train Station on East Village Road in Tuxedo. From there we walk the RD Trail which follows East Village Road, to Grove Drive to the head of the Ramapo-Dunderberg Trail. We hike on the RD, Tuxedo-MT Ivy, Triangle, Victory (B), White Bar, and back South on the RD to the Blue Disc, Tuxedo-MT Ivy, and RD Trails to the parking lot. This hike is strenuous. It’s described in Chapter 9 of Don Weise’s “Circuit Hikes in Harriman”. Severe inclement weather cancels. Register by email for this hike. TC Harriman Southern Trails map 118.

9:00 AM at Tuxedo commuter lot (GPS 41.196228, -74.184270, or type Powerhouse Lane, Tuxedo Park, NY into GPS). Go east on East Village Rd in Tuxedo Park, immediately cross RR tracks and turn left into commuter lot. We hike the R-D to TMI, Claudius Smith, then up Blue-Disc and retrace Blue-Disc to TMI to Dutch Doctor Shelter, then Triangle Trail to Lakes Sebago and Skenonto to Parker Cabin Mt. and back to cars. 10:00 AM at Northwood Drive off Macopin Road in West Milford for a hike in the Apshawa Preserve located in West Milford, NJ. The Preserve is a 575 acre park containing a waterfall, Butler Reservoir and scenic trails. Register with hike leader by email. 9:15 AM at the Sebago Boat Launch parking lot on Seven Lakes Drive. We hike the Seven Hills, Buck Trail to Meadow Road to catch the T-MI and on to the Breakneck Mountain Trail. We continue to the S-BM, passing by the Third Reservoir, all the way to the T-MI continuing to the Buck, Seven Hills and the Sebago Boat Launch. This hike is moderate.
