Meet 9:00 AM at Sterling Forest Visitors Center, 116 Old Forge Rd, Tuxedo Park, NY. We will spend some time in the visitors center at the beginning of the hike. This hike is an easy walk around Sterling Lake, featuring a historic furnace and mine. We will hike in a clockwise direction, following the blue blaze trail in front of the visitors center going west. We will cross a wooden bridge, and will continue to follow the blue-blazed trail, coming out on a road first and then to a trail around the lake. We will stop and have lunch at the far side of Sterling Lake. The trail continues around the lake, has a short climb and descent away from the lake, and will eventually circle back to the parking lot where we started. TC Sterling Forest Trails Map 100.
